    Just to add to this. Its doing it on all modules that have a drop down list on the 3rd option down.

    Once you've set you AI Commander to whichever type of control you want.

    You can go ahead and change your UI Display size back to small. Few... :0

    Can confirm that changing the UI size from small to Normal fixes the AI Commander Control Type issue.
